1958: Founding of the Company
In 1958, Mr. Kollef, an engineer, founded AEB in Asse. After about three years, the company began its own production of seatbelt systems for cars, which were exported to Japan for the renowned car manufacturer Toyota. Additionally, production started for vehicle mirrors, as well as various models of fog lights, reverse lights, and taillights.
1970: Introduction of Halogen Beacons
Due to new regulations for agricultural vehicles, AEB began producing halogen beacons. This was also the year when production was gradually increased from 500 units per day to more than 1,000 units per day.
1975: Expansion into Lightbars
In the mid-1970s, AEB expanded its product range by adding various models of lightbars These lightbars used the same halogen technology as the beacons.
1980: Distribution Contracts & Product Range Expansion
The early 1980s marked the signing of exclusive distribution contracts with European manufacturers, including SIM, for vehicle signaling equipment. By the mid-1980s, AEB began to follow new trends in xenon lighting and later LED technology for signaling devices, steadily expanding its product range.
2000: New Strategic Partnerships
Starting in 2000, AEB established new strategic partnerships with companies such as WAS from Poland and Juluen from Taiwan. Additionally, AEB introduced its first commercial LED applications across its entire product range.
2005: Launch of LEGION Lightbars
Around 2005, AEB launched its first LEGION lightbars.
2010: Introduction to the “Blue Market”
In the early 2010s, AEB took its first steps into the "blue market." This included products for police, ambulances, fire departments, organ transport, and the royal civil service.
2015: Introduction of LED Work Lights
To cater to a broader market, LED work lights were introduced around 2015.
2020: Introduction of LED Interior Lighting
Good lighting is essential for comfort and productivity. Therefore, around 2020, AEB began offering LED interior lighting. With excellent light distribution, workspaces are properly illuminated without unpleasant reflections.
2023: Launch of Raiden LED Lightbars
The Raiden LED-lightbar represents the latest generation of lightweight, CAN-controlled lightbars. Its launch took place in 2023.
2024: CAN-Controlled Range Controllers
The priority market is highly demanding. To meet these requirements, fully new CAN controlled controllers were introduced.
