AEB Enhances Safety and Ensures High-Performance Signaling for the Coast Guard

Case Study: Coast Guard

AEB is proud to partner with the Belgian Coast Guard. Thanks to the extended partnership with Ford Unicars & Ford BeLux, the West Flanders coastal rescue service is once again deploying 11 brand-new intervention vehicles this season for their daily tasks on the beach. AEB contributes to improved safety and recognition through LED vehicle signaling.

AEB’s Expertise

For AEB, this is a first: collaborating with the Coast Guard. A major challenge in this project is that these are leased vehicles, where the signaling cannot be permanently mounted. However, AEB has devised a solution to securely attach the lightbars to the vehicles.

Equipping these vehicles with seamless signaling is essential, as the Coast Guard is often the first point of contact for issues on the beach and at sea. It is crucial that the intervention vehicles can arrive quickly to provide timely assistance.

The Products Used

The Ford Rangers are equipped with the LEGION LED Lightbar, measuring 125 cm. This lightbar is fitted with advanced LED technology for optimal visibility. To further enhance safety, AEB also includes a speaker. In the first year, the lightbar featured only red LEDs. At the Coast Guard's request, AEB added blue LEDs before the start of the 2024 season. In such cases, AEB proves to be a partner for swift, flexible support.
